Hong Kong Skateboard City
I was surprised to find this Hong Kong Skate City / Shop video, it looks like
it is a big shop which has wide range of goodies. The shop is a bit hidden where
located in a industrial area in Lai Chi Kok. Try to dig it out.

Mellowpark 10th Year Anniversary
To be precise, Mellowpark is running by a community called “all eins e.V.”
and this community had its 10th birthday one week ago. I was invited to join
their celebration and witness the 10 years development. My bf Mo told me
that Jens is like a magician that he has turned the concept of Mellowpark
from nothing to the biggest outdoor skate/sportspark nowadays in Europe.

To celebrate their 10th year anniversary, “all eins e.V.” also released a book
about the ten years development of the community and the Mellowpark.
Here are some photos that I took at the party. Sorry I know the quality
of the pictures is not good enough, just want to give you the feeling and vibe.
Helo From Hellsinki, Finland - Part 2
To continue the preceding post about Finland, I would like to share you the photos
that I took in MTN gallery in Finland - Make Your Mark Garage / Gallery. I have been
travelling to visit the MTN family since the MTN Distributors Barcelona Meeting 2005.
Back then I was just helping my friend Dofi, the first MTN distributor in Hong Kong,
to take note during the meeting as his partner can’t join the meeting. I was really
the lucky one. Then I took over the Asia distribution in 2008, well, shit happened,
anyway, now the distribution runs by 3 parties, Dirty-Panda, Stan, and me.

Sorry I was off topic, before I went to Finland, I was still thinking of Timo & Kims,
who were the Finnish representative in the meeting, I wondered how I could visit
the distributors there although I have been hearing the rumors that they are in
super trouble. Somehow, all of a sudden, my friend Trama is the current one.
So I feel I did one of my missions on this trip.
The gallery is located in Suvilahti where the first Helsinki hall of fame is built.
Later I will show you more photos of this biggest hall of fame in Finland.
Suvilahti is a former energy production area in Sörnäinen, Helsinki,
and the gallery is in Puhdistamo (building 6), pretty good location.

What I like most is the set up next to the gallery, there are seats from trains,
traffic light from track, a framed poster that is a photo taken in 1988 from
a train station with full of legendary Finnish writers tags, train map with
different lines, plus no ticket control.

At the moment there is an exhibition by Hannaleena Heiska & Rauha Mäkilä:
Work in progress (Mr. Ward forever), check out the gallery and the show.

New Skatepark in Fanling, Hong Kong
Can you believe this? This amazing skatepark is located in Hong Kong!
To be honest I can’t skate, somehow I am surrounded by lots of
skateboarders. I have been hoping to see skatepark with bowls, pools,
stairsets, etc in Hong Kong for the last 11 years.

This morning when I saw this well-designed and perhaps the best skatepark
is finally built in Fanling, I felt so excited for the Hong Kong skateboarders
and my oversea skateboarding friends, now there is a reason to go back.

Mad props to the designers or staffs from Convic, HK skateboarders,
and HK government who make this happen. Check out how fun to skate there!

Skateistan Cambodia
Phnom Penh’s first indoor public skatepark which is only open to the youth
at PSE (Pour un Sourire d’Enfant) NGO has been planning and building
since this year March by Skateistan Cambodia. Skateistan Cambodia is
a group of people in Phnom Penh that want to see the lives of kids changed
for the better and they believe that they can use skateboarding to do so.

Cambodia is the second country project of parent organization “Skateistan“,
which is the world’s first co-educational skateboarding school and an independent,
neutral, Afghan NGO.

It looks like very month is getting busier there and the progress never
slows down, so let’s keep an eye out here for further updates.
