The uncategorized artist works out of Taipei for the moment but keeps it real

for his homeland and the untapped hip-hop talents still to be discovered in Africa.

Kananji just did an interview for a Taiwan online magazine Waakao. From his

interview, you can see how the flame is burning that Kananji wants to help out

the arts and talents from his own country.

Under working in a studio of O-Brothaz Sound System, Kananji and his homeboy Spooz,

who produce the beat, are now making the next album happen called “Don’t Panic”.

I’m pretty looking forward to it. Hope more talents could be recognized wherever they are.

People will notice one day as long as the good stuffs and spirit are kept being there.

to the show and live painting in Garage Works Ind. last night.

I have heard Jahan and had him in one of the social websites as contact several years ago.

I can’t even remember what my login and password are now. Out of a sudden Chris from IdN

introduced a new face to me, that’s Jahan. It’s funny that finally we talked to each other

in person after more than six years. Oo…besides, Chris told me that they are setting up

a new channel and it’ll be shown in a new restaurant. Wow..man! Idn video channel!

Chris, you are the bomb! I’m so looking forward to it!

Besides, there was also a music event featuring Verbal of m-flo / Teriyaki Boyz®

and Yoon of Ambush Design® from Japan, held in VOLAR after the art show.

Didn’t drop by because of my lack of sleep..but I guess it’d be fun : )

One of the finest underground Pinoy rappers, Skarm releases some

new songs recently. Here I would like to share couple tracks, Amidst the night

and Hip-Hybrid. Listen below and free download is available.

By searching info of the below hip hop concert, I have found this

interesting MV by one of the featured artists from the show, Young Souljaz (楊素真),

together with 頑童E so & 渡邊. I quite like the way how they present

the scenes and lyrics via facebook.

The content of their song somehow reminds me - “Smoke Weed Every Day”- the last line

of The Next Episode from Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg.

I reckon facebook is one kind of drugs if the users spend 24/7 on it plus

it affects their normal life or work so much, it’s really bad though. Seriously, one of

my ex-colleagues who is from Guangzhou told me there are refrain internet houses (戒网所)

in China giving special treatments to scare the kids away from accessing internet

or playing online game. What kind of treatments? Hmm…you dare not to try.

A softer way to recover, kids are also sent to Shaolin Monastery for the same purpose.

Lunar New Year is coming pretty soon. Before it starts, a Taiwanese

hip hop event, Stand Up Hip Hop Concert will be held in 10th Feb.
