From Style Wars to Dirty Handz, a handful of graffiti movies

definitely marked the previous decades. But these are hard times

for those who still try to release independant movies and

documentaries nowadays, since for many, Rapidshare has now

Today Montana Colors and All City celebrate the launching of

When we were watching it, me and my friend were wondering

if that’s real or just a joke. Here you can find the answer.

After waiting for 3 days, finally I got the time to watch this film. I was so

excited and looking forward when my friend spread this to me, thanks Tron.

And of course now i’m going to share this with you!

While most of the people nowadays are thinking or believing graffiti is one of the hip hop elements,

a film called JUST to GET a REP, directed by Peter Gerard, is telling the truth of

graffiti - when graffiti started, there was no hip hop.

In the film, you can find lots of exclusive interviews with New York’s graffiti legend

and today’s leading artists from Europe and the US. One of my favourites phrases by Fargo,

“If you have never hit a train, and watch that shit go by, you are not a writer…

maybe be a graffiti artist, but you are not a writer.” It really gives a good definition

to people who has the question in their mind.

So why graffiti was defined as part of hip hop?

And how did the term “hip hop” appear?

You gotta watch it man. I can only share this message with you but not the video,

Laughing Gor probably is one of the hottest topics in Hong Kong this year.

It’s not normally that a TV series turns to a movie in Hong Kong, but

because of Laughing Gor (one of the actors in E.U. who plays as a policeman

but also a spy as gang leader), the TV channel decided to create a movie

- LAUGHING GOR 之变節 (Turning Point) - about his story.

Imagine, this role turns around 100 thousand people crazy within two days

after he died in the TV series. 116,417 people mourn him in Facebook in 3 days,

It used to be around 500-1000 people join the group every hour. They upload his

B&W photo, send him flowers, “burn the money” to him, etc. It was the craziest

atmosphere ever in TV scene.

Wish I could be in my home city now so that I can check it. And I’m sure you

don’t want to miss it as lots of people highly recommend this!
