I have been watching the news about the red shirts protest in Bangkok
for more than a month. We made a post about this not long ago.
However, these days this issue is making people worry since the level of
violence was increased.
![]()
More than 800 injured, 17 civilians, including a Japanese cameraman,
and four soldiers were killed Saturday after the army launched a crackdown
on the supporters of fugitive ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra, following weeks
of mass demonstrations.
![]()
Protesters surround the coffins which will be used for the bodies of their
comrades killed in clashes with troops.

![]()
If you are planning to visit Bangkok, I’d suggest you just wait a bit as most of
the shops shut down at the moment and it’s just a chaos with the traffic,
unless you aim to experience the political fight in Thailand. Hope it’s be over soon.

i know it could be a little bit out of dated. Just in case you missed this tight
animation which is an Anncy 2009 awarded film by a taiwanese university graduate.
.
GNS crew holding it down in Xi An, China.
Day time track side seems fun. And all those freight trains are mad sexy.
FYI, Xi An is where the terracotta army is located.

KanZeOn is a forthcoming feature documentary, exploring music
and religious traditions in Japan and the magical power of sound.
By clicking their blog, you will get more ideas of how the film comes
and what inspire the crew behind to make the film.

Apart from the movie, there will also be a vinyl and CD release of music from
or related to the film. The first collaborating artist is kidkanevil, with fortuitous timing
given the imminent release of his heavily Japanese flavoured album
Basho Basho. Check out one of the tracks.

Sound is basically everywhere, why not make your own music
with your imagination? The sources are all around us, probably your flavour
could turn into an unique one.

If you like cult movies as much as we do, you cannot miss this shieeet.
The Story of Ricky is one of our all time favorite cult movies.
Check out some of the fight scenes after the jump and if you dig it you can
watch the whole English version on Youtube

From Style Wars to Dirty Handz, a handful of graffiti movies
definitely marked the previous decades. But these are hard times
for those who still try to release independant movies and
documentaries nowadays, since for many, Rapidshare has now
become the standart DVD dealer.

Today Montana Colors and All City celebrate the launching of
the 94 spraypaint, and take this occasion to support the
production of an original movie - and still allow everyone to get it :
‘The MTN Diaries’ is the first graffiti movie to be exclusively
released on internet, and available for free in High-Definition
through our Vimeo platform. We bet others will follow…
![]()
‘The MTN Diaries’ sticks to the reality of graffiti as it is,
and tries without any bias to transcript at its best the energy
and raw talent of today’s actors of the scene, whether it’d be
in the streets, on trains, on walls or in the galeries. For this first
34mn chapter shot during summer 2009, meet up with Horphe,
Tomek, Se and Gues in the streets of Paris / Seen from New York
in his parisian workshop / Metro, Afiler and their sidekicks in
Belgium train yards / Twist & Amaze from San Francisco on their
journey in Lyon for an unusual performance / Pro & Koolfunc GT
and Seb FMK painting in their favorite playgrounds / Honet and
his guests for a catacomb mission. For the record, no need to ask
us if we do personally know these artists: all video footage was
sent to us anonymously; and no, Montana Colors and All City
don’t encourage nor support vandalism… Enjoy the show.

Hmm.. Looks like we have our own version of 300 .
Personally, I don’t think the Storm Warriors is a bad story.
but we ain’t the Spartans man…
… where does creativity lies in entertainment industry?

Independent film-making in China is developing fast, in fact,
not only film but lots of things rise rapidly in China.
Found this short film / documentary, Wu Tang Gran in Clockenflap
event hours ago, produced by the Mandarin Film from China.
(If you want to check out the event, there is one more day 8/11)
When we were watching it, me and my friend were wondering
if that’s real or just a joke. Here you can find the answer.

I’m pretty sure you’ll laugh at it. We did too, but i’m kneel on their passion!
Man, can you imagine what you gonna do when you are 70 years old?
I doubt most of us would still got such energy like the ladies in the film!
And this short film is more than just to talk about the b-dancing battle.
Mad props to those ladies & the team! Peace & Love.

After waiting for 3 days, finally I got the time to watch this film. I was so
excited and looking forward when my friend spread this to me, thanks Tron.
And of course now i’m going to share this with you!

While most of the people nowadays are thinking or believing graffiti is one of the hip hop elements,
a film called JUST to GET a REP, directed by Peter Gerard, is telling the truth of
graffiti - when graffiti started, there was no hip hop.
![]()

![]()
In the film, you can find lots of exclusive interviews with New York’s graffiti legend
and today’s leading artists from Europe and the US. One of my favourites phrases by Fargo,
“If you have never hit a train, and watch that shit go by, you are not a writer…
maybe be a graffiti artist, but you are not a writer.” It really gives a good definition
to people who has the question in their mind.
![]()
So why graffiti was defined as part of hip hop?
And how did the term “hip hop” appear?
You gotta watch it man. I can only share this message with you but not the video,
go download it yourself…well, of course pay first! Could be just the cost
of a spran can to you probably. If you do love movie & music, please give respect
and support to the people behind.

So what does graffiti mean to you?
