Larn Pra Roop Fixed Gear, BBK, Thailand

Posted in Fixed Gear  by Invasian Editor

Coolman produces several cool videos about Thailand fixed gear scene

and each video is edited professionally. I have also checked his other sick

videos, Coolman’s sense of visual and music are good enough to show you

how skillful he is while the riders are not. It would be perfect if the tricks

were done smoothly by the riders in the other clips and I believe that day

will come soon.

Hong Kong 1st Goldsprint Race

Posted in Events, Fixed Gear  by Invasian Editor

A Goldsprint is a bicycle rollers racing and social event. Riders on stationary

bikes compete against each other in front of spectators. As opposed to

traditional roller racing, where riders have to balance, Goldsprints use forkstands

so that the riders don’t have to balance, only pedal as fast as they can.

This provides an easy way for anyone to try Goldsprints. However some

Goldsprints groups are now adding traditional rollers, without forkstands,

to their equipment to challenge the advanced riders. As with roller racing

in general, the rollers are in turn attached to a device that measures distance

and can display the progress of the riders.

HK 1st Fixed Gear Wedding

Posted in Fixed Gear  by Invasian Editor

Not sure if you have ever thought of getting married. Nowadays In Hong Kong,
most of the wedding parties are pretty in same shape and style. Most likely
the parties are held inside a grand Chinese restaurant, then the couple come out
with standard wedding music, the bride changes up to 5 times with different
glamorous dresses, a short video about how the couple grew up and how they met
each is a necessary. If you are from HK and have joint several wedding dinners,
you know what I am talking.

Compared to my friends from aboard, they would probably hold a hip hop
wedding party, inviting DJs and rappers to perform for the attendants, plus graffiti
writers to add some colors to their wedding. I always wondered why there was no
change to the Hong Kong wedding parties or ceremonies in the past years.

But finally, I see something different! Congrats to the couple and I am sure
that was an unforgettable wedding for them.
