Backwoods Gallery and had this nice video shot of their experience.
Graffiti Analysis Session, Kuala Lumpur
Sorry it’s a late post! I guess some of you have heard about Graffiti Analysis
or have watched the brilliant video tagging in motion with amazing effect
from vimeo. The latest version Graffiti Analysis 3.0 is attached with fresh effect
like the graphics can be reacted to the sound & surroundings plus a 3D feature.
Now you can have an live experience with this innovative visual tool.
Tomorrow night, Drawvolution bring you the Graffiti Analysis Session
in Kuala Lumpur. If you are currently there, and wanna digitalize your tag,
or experience the excitement and fun of this digital visual project, go there!
Thanks Momo for organizing the event and trying to bring some fun to the local,
as well as spending long time on answering my questions! The event will start
at 9pm at Palate Palette, 21 Jalan Mesui. Have fun everyone!

Oo..one thing i have to remind you, check the page Graffiti Analysis.
As you can see it is an open source project. Motion data is recorded,
analyzed and archived as Graffiti Markup Language (.gml) files.
The project aims to build the world’s largest collection of graffiti motion
and bring together two seemingly disparate communities that share
an interest hacking systems, whether found in code or in the city.
If you are considering to use the app. and upload your tag data,
the file would be saved in an open online database, 000000book.com.
That means it could be an open source for the people you don’t want to
meet who are looking for you..! So, risk your own, of course you can try,
just think about what you should write before you upload, and the GPS
from iPhone. I believe you can make a good flow also in other letters : )
Golden Age, China
The spontaneous graffiti activity named “The Golden Age” is organized
by Moon, Danny, Hors and Tilo who live in QuanZhou Fujian, China,
The activity aims to drive chinese writers’ attention to the essence of letter form.
The reason why they want to organize “The Golden Age” is because many chinese graffiti writers
or new comers who start to write graffiti are mainly focusing to the flashy effects
or matching colors. Many of them care less or ignore the importance of letter form
which might misdirect more new graffiti writers.

Therefore the 4 writers would like to make use of the theme “the golden age”
to make them realize the importance of letter form again. As using single colour
to paint the letters, the defects of letters will be found clearly and easier.
You are all welcome to join, the only rule is using GOLD AND BLACK as your color choice.
You can paint character according to your preference but paint letters as principal part.
There is no limit on the time or what you paint. If you would like to submit your golden piece
to Invasian #5, please send to us. Thanks Danny & the crew build this up!
Let’s join! Spring & summer holiday would be the golden time!

MastaMic《The New Hope Mixtape》Release Party
It’s hard to answer every time when my friends ask me about
the hip hop scene in Hong Kong. Since there were not too much
happening indeed. But of course, there must be some rappers
working hard on their own music and try to bring us good stuffs.
No doubt, MasterMic, who is one of the underground rappers
in Hong Kong has spent lots of effort on his new mixtape. And tonight
《The New Hope Mixtape》 release party will be held in Fringe Club.

Last year I was invited to Shenzhen to paint for the Whisper Festival,
and MasterMic joint the crew. I remember there was so much
fun with him & his friends on the way to the venue. If you know MMC,
you know he is a very talkative person. I guess most of the rappers
are like this…ha! But seriously, I’m pretty impressed by his freestyle.
The ideas and words are like bullet coming out from his mouth!
Come down boys & girls! You don’t want to miss the night!
Time: 10:00pm - 1:00am
Date: 19/2
Location: Fringe Club, 2 Lower Albert Road, Central, Hong Kong
